Join The Journeymen in our annual Relational Retreat in Spruce Knob, West Virginia—a three-day experience to build community, increase emotional awareness, and deepen relationships over a long weekend in the wilderness. This year we’ll be returning to the Spruce Knob Center, a 400-acre high-elevation preserve located in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia. Featuring some of the darkest night skies in the eastern United States, the highest peak in the state, and extensive northern hardwood forests, The Spruce Knob Center offers a unique outdoor environment to foster relationships and create community.
FOCUS: This gathering of men is a combination of community-based connection, facilitated learning, and experiential activity, spread across a long weekend in the largest wilderness in the Mid-Atlantic. Each day will be filled with rest and movement, beginning and ending with meditation and mindfulness practices. Throughout the retreat, you’ll learn from highly skilled practitioners facilitating sessions in Yoga, Movement, and Flow Hacking. Each day you’ll also join spaces for small and large group circling, and move through modalities meant to attend to fear, resilience, grief, gratitude, and community-based storytelling.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Spruce Knob Retreat Center has a variety of accommodations that include individual yurts, shared rooms, and outdoor camping sites for those who prefer to be under the stars but in short distance to common areas of dining, showers, and fire pits. This is a rustic retreat with the creature comforts necessary to rest and replenish from our days of deep diving into building relational awareness and stronger communities.
